John French

John has become a recognised leader in sustainability and low carbon innovation and holds a Chair in Enterprise and Sustainability at the University of East Anglia, Norwich. John is also the CEO of the Adapt Low Carbon Group and he is an advisor to a number of universities and financial institutions. Some of his achievements in the investment sector include The Low Carbon Innovation Fund and the recently developed Adapt-Cocoon Equity LLP Fund which both support innovative low carbon businesses.

John’s interests also extend to the agri-tech and biobased sector and he delivered to successful completion the Enterprise Centre at UEA – now widely acclaimed as the UK’s greenest and multi-award winning building for its holistic approach to low carbon innovation and sustainability.

John has a BSc from London University and a PhD from Wolfson College, Cambridge.
