Mich is an expert in mechanical ventilation and conditioning systems with wide ranging experience of undertaking laboratory and site-based investigations. The focus of many of the site investigations in the past 20 years has been on the ventilation of buildings and the occurrence of overheating, mainly in dwellings. Responsible for practical implementation of SAP Appendix Q for ventilation products and heat pumps. Currently testing MVHR and other ventilation products for PHI listing and a range of other EU standards. Technical author of NHBC, NF46, Overheating in new homes – A review of the evidence. and publications on MVHR systems, for example, Passivhaus Trust, Good Practice Guide on MVHR for single dwellings. and the chapter, Ventilation Concepts: planning and implementation, published in, The Passivhaus Designer’s Manual.
