Paul McAlister
Paul McAlister is a multi-award winning architect well known for his work in the field of Sustainable and energy efficient design.
Paul became the first architect in Northern Ireland to be a fully Certified European Passive House Designer in 2010, and is now Northern Ireland’s leading specialists in Passivhaus Design.
Paul has established a reputation for responsible sustainable design, with clients ranging from private individuals, seeking bespoke design, to education and public Bodies with commercial design requirements.
Pauls architectural practice won a RIBA regional architecture design award for the new CREST Centre for South West College Enniskillen. The project has also won a further three sustainable awards for its design quality. This project is one of the most sustainable projects in the UK and Republic of Ireland and will be the first commercial building to achieve Passivhaus Certified, BREEAM excellent and Zero Carbon.
The practice continues to innovate and research the latest developments in sustainable architecture.
This allows for a unique blend of quality design, coupled with cutting edge sustainable construction techniques. The resulting efficiency in fabric design allows for architecture which is future proofed to changes in legislation and can be easily made Zero Carbon by adding renewables.
