Supplying Passivhaus certified rooflights, smoke vent AOV’s and atrium glass roofs, LAMILUX are proud to have worked on most of the Passivhaus certified projects in the UK. All LAMILUX rooflights are for performance led-buildings with excellent U-value calculations and are manufactured in such a way that the framework is thermally broken and insulated.
About the company:
We are the world's first manufacturer to develop a range of Passivhaus skylight systems – including a large area of roof glazing which, as a phA advanced component, is in the highest efficiency range. The LAMILUX Passivhaus certified portfolio also includes a ventilation flap, modular glass skylights for smaller areas and new to 2024, SHEV rooflights certified to EN12101-2 for smoke ventilation.
Our skylights certified to Passivhaus standard have the following features:
Outstanding thermal insulation with extremely low U-values
Excellent, certified air-tightness of class 4 as per standard EN12207
Effective energy gains thanks to large daylight incidence and solar heat input
No thermal bridges thanks to continuous thermally decoupled systems
Over the past 10+ years LAMILUX have worked on most of the Passivhaus certified projects in the UK. We can therefore demonstrate that we have the products, stringent installation quality control measures and a competent and suitably trained workforce – this is all extremely important for achieving the correct installation interfaces.
Our technical staff (from sales to project managers) have completed the Passive House Institute training program and are all Certified Passive House Tradespersons, and so you can be sure that you are dealing with a company that has a suitably trained workforce that know what they’re talking about.
We’ve proven time and time again, that early engagement with our company is crucial to the successful delivery of these projects. As a specialist sub-contractor, our design input is essential in developing some key interfaces to ensure that the building envelope is free of thermal bridges, and has a robust airtightness line – crucial for the success of the building certification.
