DAY 1 • Monday 16 October • 09:00 onwards

MASTERCLASS AND SITE VISITS

We kick off the 2-day conference with everything you need to know about sustainable Scottish schools! From Passivhaus primary schools to multi-use mega campuses. Passivhaus schools are proven to contribute to the well-being & productivity of students & staff, and lessen energy consumption. Do not miss the chance to take a tour.

PHI credit points: 4 for Day 1 Masterclass; 4 for any 1 site visit.


08:30-13:30 SITE VISIT: EDINBURGH SCHOOLS*

Visit two projects commissioned by Edinburgh City Council, including the steel frame Currie High School, currently under construction,  and the recently-completed Sciennes Primary School extension

08:30-13:30 SITE VISITS: DUNFERMLINE LEARNING CAMPUS*

Visit the Dunfermline Learning Campus, commissioned by Fife Council, currently under construction. The 23,000 mproject comprises two high school buildings.

*Site visits are available to in-person conference delegates only, subject to additional charges and require separate booking. Only one site visit out of the three available may be booked.

Visit two near-completed social housing projects commissioned by Midlothian Council.  The tour will include visits to the Burnbrae and Buccleuch Street social housing schemes.

Day two hosts an exciting programme of seminars, including pioneering case studies and technical sessions. Hear the latest Scottish policies and Passivhaus best practices, and uncover resources available for getting your energy-efficient project off the ground – all while connecting with others committed to designing & delivering Passivhaus buildings!
