Matt is a Principal Consultant at Anthesis, and leads their UK Sustainable Cities and Regions services. Having led the BEIS funded SCATTER project from its inception in 2017, Matt is now at the forefront of helping various UK cities and regions who have recently declared a ‘Climate Emergency’. This has typically meant applying and interpreting the SCATTER tool to better understand and reduce the region’s emissions impacts. He has then been active in engaging various stakeholders to try to drive more ambitious actions within local government and businesses. Through this work, Matt has supported various local organisations based in Greater Manchester, such as the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), the Manchester Climate Change Agency, Trafford City Council, and multiple housing associations in the city.
